Rooted in Korean skincare principles, this treatment supports smooth, healthy skin while improving overall skin function and radiance.

 

Dermaplaning is a gentle, non-invasive exfoliation that removes dead skin cells and fine vellus hair (peach fuzz), helping to refine texture and enhance the absorption of professional skincare products. Following dermaplaning, your GlowFacial is customized in real time based on how your skin presents on the day of your visit.

For optimal results, it’s recommended to avoid shaving at least 24 hours prior to your appointment whenever possible to allow the skin barrier time to recover. If you have a beard, there is no need to shave — treatment is performed around facial hair, and techniques may be used to support the skin beneath the beard.

The Teen GlowRitual is one of Glow Studio’s signature treatments designed specifically for teen skin (ages 13–19). Rooted in Korean skincare principles, this treatment focuses on supporting clear, balanced skin by working with the skin — not against it — prioritizing skin health, barrier strength, and long-term results over aggressive or overly corrective approaches.

 

Teen skin often experiences increased oil production, congestion, and breakouts as hormones fluctuate. This treatment is designed to gently regulate, calm, and rebalance the skin without over-stripping, over-exfoliating, or overwhelming the skin barrier.

 

Each session is fully customized based on how the skin presents on the day of your visit. Treatments may also be adjusted to support and complement what your teen’s dermatologist has prescribed, whether topical or oral, ensuring the skin is treated safely and effectively.

 

For teens experiencing more inflamed or reactive breakouts, treatment may begin with shorter sessions focused on calming inflammation and strengthening the skin before introducing extractions, peels, or advanced modalities. At Glow Studio, skin health always comes first, and treatments are progressed only as the skin is ready.

• 45 minutes → calming, maintenance, early breakouts, and building healthy skincare habits
• 75 minutes → more time for extractions, congestion care, and targeted treatment
• 90 minutes → deeper corrective work, more advanced congestion care, and personalized guidance

 

Treatments may incorporate techniques such as high frequency, LED light therapy, or nano-infusion, all selected based on the skin’s needs and comfort level.

 

For more stubborn or inflamed acne, the KrX PD-13 Therapy treatment may be recommended for additional anti-inflammatory support.

 

Skin + Medication Guidelines:
To protect the skin and ensure safe treatment, the following guidelines apply:

• Teens taking oral antibiotics may require modified treatments or may need to postpone services due to increased skin sensitivity

• Teens using prescription retinoids (such as tretinoin/Retin-A) should discontinue use approximately 3–5 days prior to treatment to reduce the risk of irritation

• Teens currently taking Accutane (isotretinoin) are not candidates for facial treatments and must wait at least 6 months after their final dose before receiving treatment
